Dear Family and Friends of Whitney,
We will begin meeting in person again on Sunday, September 13, 2020.
While we all look forward to joining together for worship, these guidelines are to help us abide by social distancing protocol, to ensure we do all we can as a church to keep our testimony in the community, as well as among our visitors and members.
Our Adult Sunday School class will continue with social distancing being practiced in the Auditorium.
Young people whose parents feel comfortable allowing them to attend their age appropriate class, may meet in their respective spaces.
Choir practice will resume after we meet to discuss social distancing and scheduling.
Our Church will be cleaned and sanitized thoroughly as usual, before and after services.
Guidelines for assembling at the church:
– If you are ill in any manner (colds, coughs, sniffles, etc.) please remain home and join us via Facebook live-streaming.
– If you are elderly, or have a medical condition that puts you at increased risk, please take precautions that you are comfortable with.
– If you feel concerned or uncomfortable for any reason, please know we understand, and you can still join us virtually, and return when you are ready to do so.
– If you plan on attending, please take all precautions by:
— proper and thorough hand washing
— avoiding personal contact (head nods and smiles are best)
— wearing a mask, if you’d prefer
— giving others personal space (it is recommended that each family has six feet between them and others; please use wisdom and good sense.)
We have, and will, make room for everyone to spread out.
To follow these guidelines, we will:
— Have bulletins available for you in the foyer, but will not have a greeter there to pass them out.
— Not pass the offering plates, but will have them accessible in the foyer for you to place your tithes in.
— Not be shaking hands before, during, or after our services; nor will we be encouraging hugs until further notice (head nods and smiles are best; use wisdom and personal judgment)
— There is hand sanitizer in located on the table in the foyer, as well as sporadically throughout the sanctuary.
— Masks are also available on the table in the foyer.
Sunday School will start at 9:30 AM and Morning Worship at 10:30 AM.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact Pastor Ford, or the Church Office. We will endeavor to the fullest of our ability to keep every individual safe.
God bless, until we meet again,
Pastor Randy Ford
